Surrounded by the Sea, the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland Australia are pure beauty to behold. The Great Barrier Reef is massive and has many islands close in the Whitsunday area. The beaches are beautiful sands and turquoise to deep blue waters. This image was created via “doors off’ helicopter over a former resort that was destroyed in a massive typhoon. All the remains is the pier once used for resort guest arrivals and departures. After an hour of shooting over the Great Barrier Reef Shreve captured this image upon return.
