Coastal Waters and Waterways create interesting environments for capturing unique scenes of everchanging environments. This mangrove has surely seen years of tidal changes and hurricanes as it lies off the coast of Florida USA. Not viewable but, to the right and left are new trees forming from this “Rooted Survivor”, as someday they will hopefully equal or exceed their mother’s size. Shreve captured this tree while standing in the tidal flow as it rolled in over the roots during overcast skies.
