Nestled in the back country amongst the rolling hills of wheat in an area called the Palouse in Southeastern Washington State lies the old House of Weber. The Palouse area is a distinct geographic region of the northwestern United States. It is a major agricultural area, primarily producing wheat and legumes. Shreve captured this image on a cloudy and rainy afternoon as the light breaking through the clouds illuminated the vast fields of wheat.
