The “Dragon Maple”, “technically, a Laceleaf Maple”, is an approximately 70-year-old maple tree on the USA Northwest coast. The branches are dramatic as it expands to display its fine leaves. The Beauty of this tree is that it changes throughout the seasons in a dramatic show of colors. Shreve took this image in mid to late fall as this area of the Western Coast of The United States was covered in mist and cloudy skies in the early morning.
