There are many Piers along the West Coast of the United States but, maybe none as long and massive as this Pier in Southern California. Used for Scientific Research this pier is surrounded in the early morning with surfers and other ocean enthusiasts as they prepare for adventure. Shreve captured this image on an early morning prior to sunrise as the surfers were wading out into the ocean, in the dark, of very early morning.
