The remnants of the Great US West are scattered amongst the mountains and canyons of the USA Southwest. All that remains are the pieces of the dreams that families once shared and their footprint that defines what was formerly the American Frontier/American West. This location in Northern Arizona is very remote and makes one wonder how they ever survived. The only noticeable source of possible prosperity is a coal mine which may have provided a source of revenue. Shreve shot this midday under a cloudy sky.
