This 70 year old laceleaf maple is the subject of another one of Mr. Shreve's pieces entitled "Dragon Maple." This image was taken deeper into the fall season in which Robert captures the tree when it is at it's most vibrant state. Famed for being notoriously hard for photographers to capture due to the delicacy of the leaves Robert caught this laceleaf maple on a particularly calm day during a particularly vibrant season.
